Totally gutted!

. . . just heard of the tragic death of a photography client of mine.

We did their engagement shoot (a very cool shoot in studio with his motorbike), their wedding and their 1st child's maternity shoot. They now have two beautiful children.

Last week Thursday morning he died from a crash on his motorcycle - leaving a Mommy and two very young children behind.

This got me thinking . . .

. . . how many of us have got our house in order?

Especially, we who are married and have dependents?

• Do we we have an up to date last will,
• have we decided who will take care of our children
• and do we have enough life cover to provide for our loved ones needs?

Also, do your spouse / loved-ones know what our wish is - what we want done with our remains, ie.

• a burial
• cremation
• or even becoming a diamond (yes that's possible)?

I know this is an uncomfortable topic - but I believe the above questions needs to be asked. We need to have an open talk with our loved-ones and share with each other our fears and wants.

Before it's to late and before others make the decisions for us and regret sets in.

I hope this is a wake up call?

. . . because we are so set on helping others record their loving memories, but then often neglect to provide for our own most basic needs.

Please take action now!

. . . and don't be like the proverbial shoemaker, whose kids always goes without shoes.
