Tough Times Expose Us
It is not a surprise, but surprisingly, it is during demanding, challenging, or disagreeable times that the core of one’s personality tremendously manifests itself.
Its voracity is almost overwhelming because it comes with all its force, which in turn, depends on the predominant character of the person, i.e., an individual who is angry and prone to outbursts of violence will react like a cornered wild animal during tough times and will have no discernment while exercising its protective weapons. As a result, he will harm, either emotionally or physically, whoever is the temporary enemy regardless of its nefarious consequences.
On the other hand, a person who is self-confident, caring, and self-aware will certainly take things into perspective before deciding and acting towards any undesirable moment that life is throwing at him. Such a person has an inner space that allows him to stop for a moment and analyze both the circumstances and the people involved in the situation so that, with lucidity and courage, he can take the most appropriate action for that scenario.
In other words, the challenging times are an irrevocable force that allows us to get to know the deepest boxes of our inner beings and, hopefully, we can be able to use them to see where we are at any given time and, if necessary, use it for our improvement and refinement.
