Towards a future where equality, love, and respect are the norm

Thirty three years ago my father passed away .My mother did not surrender for grief and sadness .She is an amazing leader ,a pharmacist and a mother of three children .She worked hard to ensure raising successful family with quality of life , a lot of love , good education and amazing support .I always remember this inspiring lady , and how she turned a personal tragedy into successful career as a community pharmacist (sometimes her pharmacy had been something like psychotherapy center and care place more than a pharmacy !) & built an amazing family with a lot of care & strengths . Over the years ,I have been inspired by many women colleagues & friends who are fighting for their success in both career and personal life .They are usually superheroes and fighters in wars that we do not know about .

International Women's Day is celebrated annually on March 8th to honor the amazing accomplishments and contributions made by women around the world. This year, on March 8th, 2023, another milestone in gender equality will be marked. Although the progress is slow, it is a step towards a more equitable world.

In recent years, women have strived to gain their rights in different fields, including politics, education, and the workforce. Women are now more likely to occupy positions in sectors where men dominated for ages, such as science, engineering, and politics. Female entrepreneurs are also on the rise, breaking down the patriarchal barriers of industries that were once deemed "male-dominated."

However, despite the progress made, women still face significant challenges in many countries. In some cases, they continue to face discriminatory laws, such as restrictions on voting rights and unequal pay for work of equal value. Furthermore, women are still victims of gender-based violence, such as domestic abuse and sexual assault. These acts are unacceptable and unjustifiable.

This year's International Women's Day serves as a reminder that we still have a long way to go in terms of achieving gender equality. The support of all members of society, including men, is necessary for effectively addressing issues that affect women. It is important to recognize women’s achievements and potential, while simultaneously acknowledging that gender discrimination still exists.

Moving forward, it is crucial that governments continue to implement policies that prioritize women's rights, provide equal opportunities, and address discriminatory practices in all fields. Additionally, corporate entities must recognize the impact of gender inequality on the workforce and take action towards correcting it.

In conclusion, International Women's Day 2023 serves as a crucial reminder of the progress made so far while highlighting the challenges that still exist. We must continue to work towards gender equality in all spheres of society, addressing the structural obstacles still blocking the path to justice and equality. We must all support the women around us, and wherever possible, actively work to make sure they receive the respect and recognition they deserve. We must continue to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women across the globe, and pledge to work towards a future where equality, love, and respect are the norm.
