Trailblaze with WhyAfrica!

To be able to drive more than 9000km overland through 5 African countries, to visit 30 project sites and to interview more than 40 stakeholders in just 40 days, WhyAfrica not only relies on our own on-the-ground intelligence and extensive business networks, but also on the knowledge and experience of our sponsors, members and partners, who have all been operating in Africa for many years.

Furthermore, a challenging journey like the annual WhyAfrica Road Trip requires tough and reliable vehicles, solid logistical and emergency back-up, quality tools, safety gear, medical equipment, new technology, diesel and, of course, the best lawyers in town. Amidst it all, ESG considerations should always remain top of mind.

This year, our vehicles and back-up are once again provided by premier sponsor Remote Exploration Services (RES). RES continues taking us places in Africa where few others dare to go.

To safely visit project sites and to brave the extreme outdoors, we also need robust clothing and safety gear. Our new gold sponsor BBF Safety Group will ensure that we are zipped up and stay safe as we head north ready to get our boots as dirty as possible.

Doing what we do, it puts our minds at ease that we are doing it with one of the best law firms in Africa close by our side. NSDV is a silver sponsor and partner of the WhyAfrica Road Trip for the third year in a row.

While travelling, it is essential for us to remain 100% healthy, and to make sure that the project sites and companies that we visit, have comprehensive health care management plans, logistics and skills in place. New bronze sponsor ATA International Holdings has a fascinating story to tell.

ESG has become such an important part of the business landscape in Africa and it's an honour to have ESG Africa Conferences on board again as a bronze sponsor and of the 2024 trip.

Diesel fuel is the lifeblood of WhyAfrica’s Road Trips and also for companies operating in the most remote regions of Africa. This year we have partnered with fuel specialist Siyathembana in our quest to reach the tough goals we set ourselves at the beginning of this year.

All our 2024 sponsors have, like WhyAfrica, their roots firmly in African soil. We are thus exceptionally proud to be carrying their flags with us, and to market and promote their fantastic products and services when we start making our way Southern and East Africa in July and August.

Remember, it is not too late for you or your company to become part of the WhyAfrica Road Trip story. We offer great deals for those who contact us before the end of June. So don’t wait, come trailblaze with us, and tell your African story!
