13th - 17th March and/or 4th - 8th September 2023: BTEC Level 3 Restraint Instructor Award Course (Also Known as PMVA, Positive Handling, MVA, etc.)

NFPS Ltd was actually the first company to ever write a BTEC Award in this area and we did it so that we could create a benchmark standard qualification that has internal and external verification built in, which is issued by Pearsons (the largest Awarding Organisation in the world). 

It is a very popular qualification and very highly thought of in the industry.

Handcuff and Softcuff training are a very important tool in any restraint/pmva strategy.

It is well documented (and has been for many years) that a prolonged restraint, especially in the prone position, is one 'key' factor that can lead to a restraint related death.

Handcuffs help reduce a prolonged restraint thus reducing the risk of death as well as reducing the risk of any serious injuries to the person being restrained as well as any serious injuries to staff.
