Trekking Through the Unknown

Trekking Through the Unknown

I wanted to take some time to expand upon my purpose and goal for writing The Legal Tech Ecosystem, my new book.

I once feared technology. I saw the rise of technology as a threat and one that would demand huge changes in my behavior and skillsets. These fears were proved unfounded as I began exploring technology in greater detail and saw the countless applications of various technologies. The main thing that really helped me overcome my fear was listening to the journeys of others in the field and experimenting on my own with different technologies.

It was this journey that inspired me and compelled me to write the book. Between witnessing firsthand the ways in which technology is impacting both the practice and the business of law and hearing the stories of many who felt afraid or lost amidst all the noise and change underfoot, I wanted write a book to help others understand the promise and potential of legal tech.

The Legal Tech Ecosystem purposefully uses anecdotes and real-world stories to humanize the concepts and illustrate broader themes about the role of technology in law. The aim is to provide a human-first perspective on legal tech in an effort to demystify it and provide an overview of the space to encourage further learning and exploration.

At its heart, this book is about the very human impacts of technology on lawyers, clients, and the justice system. I explore forward-thinking questions about the future of law in an accessible, conversational manner. My own passion and cautious optimism energize the narrative.

It is my hope that readers will find this book both engaging and enlightening. That it will help you understand the changes afoot, while also inspiring a thoughtful perspective on how to shape the legal tech ecosystem for the betterment of society. I hope you will consider purchasing it. My aim is not personal gain, but rather to help the reader navigate this complex technology landscape.

PS: One ask of those who have already bought my book (Thank You!), if you would kindly leave a review on Amazon, I would be ever more grateful to you.

I'm such a nerdie trekkie that I was really hopeful this post referenced Star Trek 🤣 Even though it doesn't, I'll still give it a thumbs-up 👍
