Trend Toward Web Browser-Based XR (Extended Reality)

There is a trend towards browser based XR (extended reality) technology, which includes VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), and MR (mixed reality), as opposed to proprietary device VR-level technology.

This trend is driven by several factors, including the increasing availability of high-speed internet and the growing demand for immersive experiences that can be accessed from any device. Browser-based XR experiences are becoming more sophisticated and accessible, with some experts predicting that they will eventually replace proprietary device VR technology.

Browser-based XR experiences offer several advantages over proprietary device VR technology, including greater accessibility, lower costs, and the ability to reach a wider audience.

Additionally, browser-based XR experiences can be easily updated and customized, making them ideal for educational and training purposes.

However, there are still some limitations to browser-based XR experiences, including the need for high-speed internet and the limitations of current web technologies. Overall, the trend toward browser-based XR technology will likely continue as technology evolves and improves.
