The Truth About Obsession

The Truth About Obsession

Average people practice until they get it right.
Obsessed people practice until they never get it wrong.

I don’t care what anyone says…

Your goals in life need to become an obsession.

Literally.

You want to stop spinning in circles?

You want to make a bigger difference in your community?

You want to realize your highest ambitions?

You want to be happier in life?

Your goals better be so wrought with obsession that everything you want out of life becomes a never-ending commitment to keep betting on yourself.

Not just Monday through Friday

Not just every other evening.

Not just between breakfast and lunch on Fridays.

Your goals need to consume every minute…

Of every hour…

Of every single day…

For a long ass time.

Everything you READ…

Everything you WATCH…

Everything you LEARN…

Everything you CONSUME…

All of it needs to be hyper focused on the goals that are going to move you away from your current self…

…and into the your-life-doesn’t-look-the-same-kind-of-transformation where you end up meeting yourself for the first time.

This is how you claim ownership of your life.

Did you read that?

Read it again.

Carefully.

And think about it.

Hard.

Your goals are about creating a new level of obsession in everything you do; from your philosophies and habits to your mental approach to excellence.

And here's something I want you to think about...

...you don’t need to be as good as the top 1%...

...you need to be better.

That’s why staying exactly where the fuck you are right now is equally, if not, more painful.

Now, if that part of this article caught you off guard, I don’t know another way to say this next statement so if it offends you, well, that’s on you.

Most people think they possess the level of honesty required to get their shit together in order to elevate their life.

They don't.

It’s just that fucking simple.

Whether you achieve your goals relies solely on your selfishness to become obsessed with the responsibility to prioritize your goals, and yourself, without regret.

I'm not saying you can’t.

I'm saying you probably won't.

That's the truth.

Feel differently?

You already know what you need to do.

Show us.

With fire,

Erin Whitehead, Human Performance Coach

It's just like improving any part of your life needs to be an obsession. Then we can't get our life wrong for the most part

This is so true
