Tune In: Turn Up
Reflections on Grief Recovery and Living Your Legacy
When we face grief, we find ourselves at a crossroads. The pain of loss demands our attention, compelling us to tune in not only to the discomfort of our grief but also to a fundamental truth: we, too, are mortal. No one is forever, but spirit—our essence, our energy—is timeless.
To tune in is to recognize that, despite the hardship, we remain privileged to dwell in the land of the living. It might seem daunting to envision a life without those we loved physically by our side, yet embracing this reality is essential to both our well-being and the continuation of our legacy. Tuning in allows us to confront our grief head-on and start crafting a new narrative—a story that honors our loved ones’ impact while celebrating our own capacity to continue their influence.
Turn Up: Show Up for Your Life
Grief recovery is not merely about moving on; it’s about showing up, turning up, and raising the bar for ourselves. Turning up in life means embracing each day as an opportunity to be the best version of ourselves. It may not be easy, but it’s a choice—one that empowers us to recondition our minds, rewrite our stories, and create new circumstances with the tools we have.
While at times, change may seem nearly impossible, it isn’t. Being alive means having the chance to choose, even if it’s just a small step each day. Every moment creates momentum, and that momentum gradually forges new conditions, which eventually shape a new reality. Through this process, we begin to tune in to living fully once again, honoring those who have passed by living the life they would have wished for us. For if they loved us, they surely would want to see us thrive.

Living Your Legacy for Generations to Come
As a certified end-of-life coach, my purpose is to support and inspire you through the journey of grief recovery. Being human is about being present in our experiences. Our spirit—our soul, the energy that drives our internal clock—endures beyond this life. Although the mysteries of where our energy goes are unknown, science and spirituality agree on one fact: energy cannot be destroyed.
When faced with grief, we always have a choice in how we approach our mindset and where we focus our thoughts. We can choose to cherish good memories and uplifting thoughts, or we can let ourselves be weighed down by painful memories. In the end, the decision of which memories to nurture and which thoughts to cultivate is yours, and this choice determines what serves you best.
Grief is a journey, but it is also an invitation to tune in to your new reality and turn up for life. Each step is an opportunity to honor those who have gone before us by building a legacy that extends beyond our own time, impacting future generations and ensuring that the love, wisdom, and spirit of those we’ve lost continue to live on.
