Turning Up the Heat: Summer Update! 🔥

Turning Up the Heat: Summer Update! 🔥

Last month we had our amazing company offsite, CONN3CT, filled with insightful workshops, team-building activities such as a pasta-making class and theatre trip, a nature retreat, 90’s themed celebration party (we’re 25 years old now in case you didn't know ), and even a morning yoga and wellness session.

Amongst all the fun, we still managed to wrap up some incredible events for TikTok, Google, and Microsoft. We were also shortlisted for the C&IT Global Agency for the Year Award, MiaList Agency of the Year and Sustainability categories, and our CEO, Alistair Graham, was named in the CN Agency Top 100. Over the next few weeks, we have exciting events coming up for HP, Gong, OutSystems and Semrush.

Our team will also be out attending some exciting events to keep up to date with the latest trends, and planning the finishing touches for our New York Launch Party, to celebrate our Chief Strategy Officer, Daniel Curtis, relocating to drive our growth across the pond.

Strategy

Our VP of Growth, Josh King, hosted a session with RingCentral on How to Utilise AI to Supercharge your Events. The webinar brought together a fantastic lineup of speakers from HP, DAHLIA+ Agency, NBC Sports Next, and more to explore cutting-edge strategies that enhance event marketing. In his session, Josh touched upon resources to kickstart your AI journey and explored various prompts and platforms, including 20+ AI tools to enhance event planning and delivery. You can watch the on-demand content here.

Content

How can you take educational content and turn it into something engaging that audiences can interact with? After all, we want our event attendees to not only connect with us in the moment (and not fall asleep) but also to retain the information explored in the sessions. We recently completed an event where we made the concept of business jargon into something a little more fun with ‘Lingo Bingo’!

Creative

We recently transformed the Hyatt Regency Seattle ballroom into a cloudy dreamscape for the Microsoft START Conference closing party. Themed "SOAR," the event celebrated reaching new heights and limitless possibilities. Highlights of the evening included:

  • Stunning decor and branding
  • An exhilarating basketball show
  • An engaging opening video
  • A high-energy performance by the Party Crashers
  • Impressive stunts by the Air Elite Dunkers

The night was filled with dancing, drinks, and canapés, creating an unforgettable experience. We were thrilled to bring Microsoft's vision to life and inspire all attendees to soar higher! Check out the wrap-up video here.

Sustainability

Last week, our Sustainability Consultant, Matilda Riley, presented at the CN Sustainability Summit on what it takes to become a B Corp and the benefits of certification. In her session, Matilda covered:

  • The benefits of becoming a B Corp
  • The certification dashboard
  • The B Corp scoring system
  • Supporting documentation
  • The Workers section

In other Sustainability news, we recently worked on an event for a large tech client where:

  • 84.3% of print assets were repurposed post-event
  • 100% recycled acrylic signage was used and returned for recycling
  • 99% of furniture was hired and what wasn’t was donated to local families
  • Any leftover food was donated to a local charity.
