T’was the Night Before Christmas

T’was the Night Before Christmas

Owning Your Craft

T'was the Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the air,

Reflections were stirring, a craft to prepare.

The year had been fleeting, with lessons to glean,

Now, New, and Next in the space in between.

Lessons to Glean

NOW: Reflecting on Foundations

The present lay waiting, a gift to unwrap,

A moment for pause in the year’s busy lap.

With pen in hand, I surveyed the year,

The wins and the stumbles, the lessons made clear.

Owning your craft starts with looking behind,

At the roots that have steadied, the growth intertwined.

What did you master? What still needs your care?

The Now is your grounding, a truth to declare.

Visions Were Forming

NEW: Exploring the Unknown

With stockings all hung and the hearth burning bright,

New visions were forming, a glow in the night.

Tomorrow holds promise, experiments to try,

Fresh ideas to ponder, new heights to apply.

The craft we refine must evolve with the day,

Through learning and testing and finding our way.

What risks will you take? What paths will you tread?

The New is the spark where bold dreams are led.

A Canvas to Grow

NEXT: Envisioning the Future

And then with a twinkle, Next whispered its plea,

A future unfolding for you and for me.

It called with ambition, a vision so clear,

Of the craft that we own as we enter the year.

With intention as our compass, the journey aligns,

Each step in our story is a mark in the lines.

What legacy blooms from the seeds you will sow?

The Next is the canvas for all that you’ll grow.

The Gift of Your Craft

The Payoff: The Gift of Your Craft

As the clock softly ticked and the night carried on,

I thought of the morning, the old year soon gone.

Owning your craft is a gift that you give,

To the work you create, to the life that you live.

In the Now, find the grounding, the wisdom to hold.

In the New, take the risks that are daring and bold.

In the Next, let your vision be boundless and vast, For owning your craft is a gift that will last.

So I call to you now as the stars softly gleam,

Own your craft and your story, your purpose, your dream.

Merry Christmas to all, as you rest and reflect,

On the Now, New, and Next who’s life you will affect?
