Ukraine, Bitcoin, and The Future of Crypto
First off, welcome to my NEW All In with Rick Jordan Newsletter! In this newsletter you’ll get a recap of the great podcasts and conversations I’m having every week on ‘All In with Rick Jordan Podcast’.
Is Cryptocurrency Digital Gold?
One of the biggest topics right now is the war in Ukraine and the effects of this war on cybersecurity, crypto and more. Last week I chatted with Erica Stanford, founder of the Crypto Curry Club, to discuss the effects of the Ukraine-Russia war on crypto.
Author of Crypto Wars: Faked Deaths, Missing Billions and Industry Disruption, Erica was introduced to cryptocurrency and blockchain in early 2017 and has since been researching and investing in the space. Since 2018 Erica has been working on a blockchain platform focused on micropayments on a pay-per-use basis and on tracking donations. She also works with blockchain and emerging tech startups on business strategy and mainstream growth and with national companies on blockchain adoption.
In this episode, Erica shares about Ukraine legalizing cryptocurrencies, how the Russia-Ukraine war could accelerate cryptocurrencies, prompt other countries to re-evaluate their currency dependencies, and the direct result of more countries embracing digital currency.
Makes choices and seeing clearly
Before we can do anything in life, we must first see things clearly.
If we want to work through our fears to access greater freedom and happiness, keep up with the ever-changing digital currency world, or make effective decisions in life, we first need to gain clarity.
These past two weeks I’ve been delving into the depths of what it means to gain greater clarity and how you can access this treasure chest of knowledge, all lying in wait at the simple click of a button. Check out these recent episodes to dive in:
Even When The Choice Terrifies You, Just Do It | Akshay Nanavati
Meet Akshay Nanavati, a Marine Veteran openly and willingly sharing his story around war, PTSD, addiction, and how he has accessed freedom through facing fear first.
Akshay Nanavati has overcome drug addiction, PTSD from fighting in Iraq with the Marines, depression, and alcoholism that pushed him to the brink of suicide. Since then, he has built a global business, run ultramarathons, spent seven days in darkness, and explored the most hostile environments on the planet. Combining his life experience with years of research in science and spirituality, he wrote the book "Fearvana," which the Dalai Lama wrote the foreword for. Akshay is now on a mission to help our human family build a positive relationship with suffering to create a life of greater meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.
In this episode, we discuss challenging fear, embracing suffering, and how a trip to Antarctica tested the limits of his humanity.
Clarity, Direction & Movement
If you’ve been struggling to make important decisions in your life, you need more clarity.
I’ve spent years discovering new tools and practices to help absorb, process and learn information quicker and more efficiently. In this episode, I shares psychological and actionable steps to help connect with your gut (or intuition), access your psyche's deeper parts and make those essential decisions while completely aligning with yourself.
Everyone is Lonely
You may think you need more money to be happy - you don’t.
Having experienced both sides of the coin - having no money and having money – I’m well acquainted with the reality that having more money does not necessarily make you happier. Getting your core needs met does. In this episode, I chat about every person's three core needs and how to get them met, regardless of the amount of money you may have.
