Ultra-modern banks in Poland and their impact on the global banking market

Do you know that the Polish banking market is one of the most digitally mature in the world? This is what Deloitte says in the report "CE Banking Outlook Winning in the Digital Arms Race". Polish banks (such as mBank) are mentioned at international conferences for bankers as a model to follow in terms of digital transformation. Polish banks also win international rankings, such as the IKO application of PKO Bank Polski, which has been named the world' best mobile banking application.

However, 30 years ago it was completely different. At that time, there were only a few banks in Poland that were far behind the world leaders in terms of the level of banking development. Poles could experience world-class banking only when they went abroad.

How did it happen that within 30 years the Polish banking market became ultra-modern? Everything started with the fall of the wall…
