ULUSKON Continues to Work on the Modular Housing Project for Earthquake-affected Families

International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) continues to work within the scope of the modular housing project to be constructed for earthquake-affected families at points to be determined by AFAD as a regulator. ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy, regarding her point of view, said, “Thousands of modular containers will be brought to Turkey this summer and installations will be carried out in modular cities in relevant earthquake zones. ULUSKON families are a vigorous enlargement continuation campaign for earthquake survivors to meet the next winter with more suitable sheltering conditions.”

The International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) continues to work for citizens affected by earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. A donation campaign was started by ULUSKON right after the earthquake. This campaign attracted great interest from abroad as well as at home. ULUSKON continues to cooperate with business people who are willing to donate, taking into account the needs of earthquake victims, of modular houses/containers ready to be built, which will be given as 'aid' from abroad. As a result of the use of modular houses/containers to be delivered from abroad to Turkey via ULUSKON, it is aimed to meet a large part of the modular house needs of our earthquake survivors with the settlements to be provided in the modular cities to be established this summer by ULUSKON in coordination with AFAD. In this context, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy and the accompanying delegation continue their meetings in the USA with philanthropists and businessmen abroad who want to help earthquake victims by sending modular houses/containers through ULUSKON.

'THEY WILL CONTINUE TO BE KEPT READY IN ULUSKON'S WAREHOUSES'

President Atasoy, who went to the USA, visited the factories producing modular house-container on site, saw the suitability of the products planned to be delivered to the earthquake victims, received information from the factory officials and made evaluations. Stating that he visited the production facilities in Chicago, Indianapolis, Orlando and Miami one by one, President Atasoy said, “We decided to cooperate with US business people on every subject within the scope of modular house/container. With the modular houses/containers planned to be procured from the USA through donations, we will provide our citizens who are victims of earthquakes with high standards of accommodation and a comfortable life as much as possible. The life of these houses is 50 years, and suitable materials are used. From this point of view, these modular houses/containers to be brought from the USA will continue to be kept ready at ULUSKON warehouses, not only for the earthquake victims in Kahramanmaraş, but also for the use of the victims after other possible disasters in our country. If everything proceeds according to ULUSKON's roadmap, tens of thousands of modular containers will be brought to Turkey this summer and installations will be carried out as modular cities in the relevant earthquake zones. We will continue to make efforts for the ULUSKON family to meet the earthquake victims' next winter in more suitable sheltering conditions.”
