Un-locking the Power of Ai to help the World Achieve Net Zero

The practicality of small steps in the right direction.

The media narrative around the achievement of net zero is abundant.

Much of the narrative is centred on the big bold claims and goals and how Governments around the world are pledging reduction strategies.

Various statistics show that buildings account for around 30% of global carbon emissions.

It’s pretty clear therefore that reducing energy usage in building across the globe will have a big impact on reducing carbon emissions and play a part in achieving net zero.

Our approach to reducing energy consumption in buildings starting from HVAC optimisation and has proven to save between 10% and 20% in energy in commercial and public buildings.

One of main problem associated with decarbonisation is the correct sizing of the capacity of your low/zero carbon replacement for your existing gas boiler.

Some critics may disagree that availability of power supply, space or capital are the main constraints to decarbonisation.

Well, think again.

Having robust data to quantify with accuracy what is the real heating load in operation of your building is key to specifying smaller units to replace your existing gas boilers.

Smaller units will be more compact, require less electrical power and it will be less expensive than one matching the capacity of your current heating system.

Low/zero carbon heating technology will also run more efficiently saving OPEX costs.

So the analysis of data is key in our opinion to decarbonising buildings.

Ai and data mining are therefore fundamental in unlocking decarbonisation and Watts-ON consultants are pioneering in this new frontier.
