Understanding Our Feelings

Becoming aware of our feelings helps us to connect with and understand our behavior and the behavior of others. The whole set of these discrete skills are both intra and inter personal. It is always about our self and others. Developing a common language and understanding of our emotions enables us to become better communicators. Connecting the feeling and the reason for the feeling helps us to regulate our emotions.

This awareness develops the emotional intelligence that has become essential for career, personal and business success. Consciously learning to think differently about what our needs are requires emotional intelligence. We need to give ourselves and each other permission to feel what we feel without judgement. We need a world in which everyone develops the empathy and awareness that comes from an emotional education.
