Unforgettable Conference days ..... wish we could rewind time ....

Boy oh Boy - what an amazing time with the most amazing of people! From the moment I trekked up Arthur's Seat all alone at 07.00 Wednesday 2nd May - battling the cold, wind and the rain in my face - challenging my brain to take each step up the sheer, steep side of the ascent, on the morning that the conference would start, until the Arthur's Seat gentle side trek that a group of us made together with Lee Campbell, Andrew and David Short on Saturday morning at 08.00 in the most brilliant sunshine, the day after the conference. The time between those two key treks was magical, unforgettable and above all undescribable.

People travelled from all over the world to be in Edinburgh, to share this experience with us. From Brasil to Canada, to Moscow and Ukraine - from Australia to Europe - we spanned the globe within are collective.

The speakers were all phenomenal: my heartfelt thanks to Lee Cambell, David Short, Andrew Short, Richard Bentley, Russell Dagleish, Helen Cherry, Stella Collins, Luca Lampariello, Jo Adams, Rachel Bailey and Faye Allen, Dimitris Zeppos, Thomas Feiner and Irene Viglia Atton. Each and every one contributing to the topic "how to enhance the learning process" and each bringing in fascinating connections to neuroscience, heart science, emotional intelligence, practical intelligence and intuition. This is what I call the holistic approach - connecting and uniting all the information to bring us into practical hands-on application of "holistic education", sorely needed in today's world where learners are no longer the same as the learners of yesterday and educators have to adjust and flex to bend and sway to the new ways of delivery. My strong belief is that, we, as educators, have to start with ourselves - to understand our own brain, heart and intuition - to then be able to really support and assist our learners.

And as I said at the conference, the neuroeducators of today, are leading the way in this educational shift - and all of those at the conference are the pebbles creating those ripples in the ocean and all have gone back to their respective locations all over the world, fuelled and motivated to keep that ripple rippling.

Grateful to you all - sometimes in life, words simply do not suffice!

As Einstein said: "It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education." How wonderful it was to be there among so many other 'Outside the box' thinkers who continue to be curious..... always seeking better ways to communicate their knowledge and experience, so as to benefit others.

Huge thanks to Rachel, the other organizers, the speakers and everyone who took part in it. I think the others above have said it all. There was just something special, such powerful energy there. Maybe our collective spirit wanting to make a difference in the world... I don't know. But it truly was special. Thank you.

Rachel, thank you so much for the enriching days at the conference in Edinburgh. It was a unique experience! I feel grateful and inspired.
