United Capital Snaps Up $332 Million RIA
May 5, 2016
United Capital Financial Advisers has acquired RIA firm HFI Wealth Management, WealthManagement.com writes. And now that it is offering a white-label version of its financial management software, the firm says it will be more ever-more selective in its acquisition strategy, reports the website.
As previously reported, United Capital launched a white-label version of its FinLife technology platform to outside firms in March. And as it “takes off,” Matt Brinker, head of national partner development at United Capital, tells WealthManagement.com the firm’s “selectivity is going to go up a couple notches.”
According to Brinker, United Capital will focus on actively growing RIAs as well as geographic markets poised for growth, seeking sub-acquisitions and access to talent, WealthManagement.com reports.
