Just a quick update on LEED v5 and a request for 3 minutes of your time.
I need to ask if you could please take this 3-minute survey to help me in my discussions with the USGBC Existing Building’s committee. (https://lnkd.in/gGBeEWgG).
On July 24, 2024, we held a LEED-EB committee meeting and the USGBC staff announced that they will specifically be reviewing the comments on the Cleaning Credits on August 7 – finally!
The 3 issues USGBC Staff identified for review based on our industry’s comments are:
Clearly, we have gotten their attention and hopefully our efforts will increase the value of cleaning in LEED v5.

I am trying to assess how you value protecting the environment versus building occupant health as we try to appropriately weigh points in LEED-EB.

Finally, I am anticipating that the USGBC will release all the LEED v5 Rating Systems in mid-September for a second public comment period and I will keep you posted.
