These tokens can be utilized in making purchases without revealing the genuine credit card number hence minimizing chances of information loss and fraudulence.

Address Verification System (AVS)

This tool compares the billing address provided by the customer with the one held on file by the credit card issuer. Any difference could prompt further verification steps. Card Verification Value (CVV) Checks

Payment gateways use CVV checks while processing payments so as to confirm that indeed it’s the same person paying for goods or service who possesses such a bank card, hence adding another degree in terms of security.

Many current payment processors use the algorithms of the machine learning technique called risk scoring to analyze transaction patterns in order to identify transgressions that could point out towards fraudulent activities. Such frameworks, therefore, are capable of seeing dubious dealings ‘through their eyes’.

Hosted Payment Pages deposit customers in a secure environment that is strictly managed by the payment gateway while customizable forms tend to follow certain safety rules hence preventing some weaknesses.
