INTERESTING GRANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Don’t give up in grants. The process can take time. One of my clients won a $2M grant last week, but they have been working hard for nearly seven years. Big grants can take time, but dreams do come true.

- Making Cultural Spaces Safe During COVID-19 Initiative. Open for projects to be carried out before March 31, 2022.
- The Canada Recovery Hiring Program (CRHP) has been extended to May 7, 2022.
- U.S. Mission to Canada Funding Opportunities: Combatting COVID-19 Grant Program with up to $100,00 grant available. Deadline: July 6, 2022.
- Restrictions Exemption Program – Safety training: provide $1 million in grant funding to support Alberta workers.
- Restrictions Exemption Program Implementation Grant: provides $2,000 for eligible small- and medium-sized organizations.
- Work-Sharing Program: special measures for employers affected by the downturn in business related to COVID-19 effective March 15, 2020 to September 24, 2022.
- COVID-19 wage and hiring support for businesses: enable you to re-hire workers, help prevent further job losses, and ease your business back into normal operations.
- COVID-19 rent and property expense support for businesses: you may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of your commercial rent or property expenses.
- Indigenous Community Business Fund: access funding to support their community-owned businesses whose revenues have been affected by COVID-19.
- The Digital Economy Program helps small businesses take their businesses online.
- Stay tuned to the third intake of the Alberta Jobs Now program: up to $370 million funding assistance.
- Community Resilience Fund: provide support countering radicalization to violence in Canada. Extended until January 25, 2022.
- Canada Summer Jobs 2022: the government has committed to create 100,000 CSJ jobs for youth this year. Deadline: January 25, 2022.
- Industrial Energy Management program: provide financial assistance of up to $40,000 per facility. Deadline: January 28, 2022.
- Early Learning and Child Care small projects component under the Enabling Accessibility Funds: Up to $25,000,000 in funding over 2 years available. Deadline: January 28, 2022.
- Celebration and Commemoration Program — Reopening Fund with $1,000,000 funding available is extended until January 31, 2022.
- Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) – Canadian Quantum Technology R&D Partnering Mission to Germany. Deadline: January 31, 2022.
- Countering Unmanned Aerial Systems: Stay tuned for the new call to launch in January 2022.
- First Nations Development Fund Grant Program. Next application deadline: February 1, 2022.
- Deep Space Healthcare Challenge: Grand Prize Winner who will receive $500,000 in grant funding. Deadline: February 1, 2022.
- Energy Innovation Program – Clean Fuels and Industrial Fuel Switching Expression of Interest: up to $50 M funding available. Deadline: February 2, 2022.
- Insight Development Grants support research in its initial stages with up to $75,000 funding. Deadline: February 2, 2022.
- Canadian Science Policy Fellowship (CSPF): for fellows interested in undertaking a year-long policy position in Canadian government host office. Deadline: February 2, 2022.
- Professional Development for Artists grant supports activities that contribute to the professional advancement of Canadian artists. Next cut-off date: February 2, 2022.
- The Catherine Donnelly Foundation provides maximum of $50,000 grants. Deadline: February 3, 2022.
- The Energy Futures Youth Seed Fund provides $50,000. Deadline for Round 2: February 6, 2021.
- First Nations and Inuit Skills Link Program: supports activities that assist youth in acquiring the essential skills for employment. Deadline: February 7, 2022.
- Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge: Provides $1,000,000 USD in prize money for economic development and/or solve social or environmental problems. Deadline: February 11, 2022.
- Alberta Immigrant Mentorship Innovation Grant: Funding of $1 million is available. Deadline: February 14, 2022.
- For individual communities and organizations, funding will be capped at $150,000 through the Residential Schools Community Research Grant. Deadline: February 15, 2022.
- City of Edmonton’s Community Investment Operating Grant is now open for applications. Deadline: February 16, 2022.
- John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF): accept proposals requesting up to $800,000, with a maximum total eligible cost of $2 million. Next Deadline: February 15, 2021.
- Grants for Individuals and Collectives: You may request up to $25,000. Deadline: February 15, 2022.
- The Afri-Plastics Challenge Strand 3 Promoting Change: Finalist will receive a grant of £50,000. Deadline: February 16, 2022.
- The 2 Billion Trees (2BT) program: up to $3.2 billion will be invested in tree planting efforts. The current, inaugural deadline is Feb. 17, 2022.
- Investment Readiness Program – Stream 2: Ecosystem builder (Round 2): total grants and contributions funding is $45,815,426. Deadline: February 18, 2022.
- Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) – Future of Healthcare using Artificial Intelligence Mission to France. Deadline: February 18, 2022.
- City of Edmonton’s Family and Community Support Services Program is now accepting Expressions of Interest. Deadline: February 20, 2022.
- 2023 Innovation Fund competition: Up to $400 million in research infrastructure funding. February 23, 2022 is the deadline to submit notices of intent.
- Sustainable Affordable Housing – Green Municipal Fund: Pilot Projects. Deadline: February 28, 2022.
- Heritage Preservation Partnership Program will open in the first working day of February. Application until February 28, 2022.
- Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Digital Subsidy. up to $7,500 wage subsidy. Winter Term is open. Deadline to apply is February 2022.
- The application process for Impact Canada’s Northern Access will open in February 2022. Share a pool of up to $80M to implement your solution!
- Alberta Project Script Development Grant: you ma apply up to $55,000 per project. Deadline: March 1, 2022.
- Community Support Organizations Operating Funding provides annual funding for arts programs and services to communities. Deadline: March 1, 2022.
- Dance Individual Project Funding: awards up to $15,000 for a specific dance project. Deadline: March 1, 2022.
- Carbon Capture Kickstart: Design and Engineering call: ERA’s new $30 million funding opportunity. Deadline: March 3, 2022.
- Up to a maximum of $100,000 funding available through Stabilize Donation Matching 2.0. Deadline: March 4, 2022 or until all funds awarded. Apply now!
- Project Accelerator grants provide funding support up to $10,000. Deadline: March 4, 2022.
- Mining Cleantech Challenge: open for clean technology companies to showcase their innovative products and technologies. Deadline: March 4, 2022.
- U.S. Mission to Canada Funding Opportunities with up to USD$100,000 funding over 1 year. Next Proposal Due Date: March 7, 2022.
- Eurostars: largest international funding programme for SMEs wishing to collaborate on R&D projects. Deadline: March 24, 2022.
- Accessibility Work Experience Program: Receive a wage subsidy between $12.50/hour and $15/hour for a four-to-six-month position. Deadline: March 31, 2022.
- The revised third intake period of the Onshore Program – Emissions Reduction Fund is now open. Deadline: March 31, 2022.
- Offshore Deployment Program – Emissions Reduction Fund. Apply now before all funding allocated by March 31, 2022.
- Site Rehabilitation Program: up to $300 million in funding available. Deadline: 4th – 8th application period: March 31, 2022.
- Canada Post Community Foundation provides grants to Canadian schools, charities and community organizations. Deadline: March 31, 2022.
- A revenue-tested tourism levy abatement (abatement) is being implemented for the period October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Learn more here.
