Prophetic Warning of the LORD with Zephaniah Chapter 1

 On Saturday, August 26, 2017, I opened my Bible to read. The LORD led me to Zephaniah chapter 1, the second time. The first occurrence was on April 7th, 2008 – when the LORD communicated to me about His judgments. The Holy Spirit led me to Zephaniah chapter 1. The earth was shaken for seven years with natural disasters. We have all witnessed the tsunamis, storms, earthquakes, fires, wars, economic crises, and the martyrdom of children of GOD. The birth pains that the earth experienced was excruciatingly painful. During that season, the LORD prophetically revealed to me about all troubles that came to pass on earth. I shared the messages of the LORD through my web page, social media, and my book. The title of my prophetic book is: “The Lord’s voice cries to the city…Micah 6:9”.

The LORD is letting His servants know that a season of next birth prang is on hand. It is the season of great shaking on earth. The global disaster will encompass the whole earth. The Day of the LORD is on hand. MY children, arise and share the testimonies that I AM revealing by MY Mouth…MY Word is a written Word, and MY SPIRIT is pouring out on all flesh. Receive MY Word – and repent from all of your sins. The fruits are ripened, and the harvest is ready. Go to the ends of the world and speak the Word from MY mouth. MY Word is life. The outpour of the HOLY SPIRIT is on Earth. Come and receive your spiritual gifts, because you can do nothing without ME and MY SPIRIT.

I believe we are entering a season of a great harvest. The servants of the LORD will be a walking miracle on the face of this earth. The earth is ready to go through its birth pains. The natural disasters, wars, and famines will shake the earth. Many will run to find refuge in their LORD, in their Creator. This is a season of Global REVIVAL. Praise the LORD!

The LORD led me to Zephaniah chapter 1. Let’s read the scripture to understand what does the HOLY SPIRIT desires to teach us.

God is conveying about whom, why and what type of people will be judged. It is my humble prayer that no one falls among such group of people, who will be destroyed due to their deeds which are unacceptable in the eyes of the LORD. It is extremely important to comprehend this message in order to save ourselves and our loved ones.

Zephaniah 1

1 The word of the LORD which came to Zephaniah the son

of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of

Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.

The Great Day of the LORD

2 “I will utterly consume everything

From the face of the land,”

Says the LORD;

3 “I will consume man and beast;

I will consume the birds of the heavens,

The fish of the sea,

And the stumbling blocks along with the wicked.

I will cut off man from the face of the land,”

Says the LORD.

Verse 2 and 3 indicates the intensity of God’s judgment, which will utterly consume everything on earth due to the stumbling blocks of evil works on earth. They rejected the voice of God for sake of their own stimulus believes. The end of all evil will come.

How and what can utterly consume everything from the face of the land?

My dear brothers and sisters do not live in denial. Have we ever considered…

• What if this will happen in our life?
• Where do we stand in the eyes of the LORD?
• What is the true righteousness that God desires?
• Are we good enough to get saved from this judgment?
• Do we believe, trust, love and worship God 100 %?

Let us all be honest and look at ourselves not from our standpoint, but from God’s perception. Let’s discern God’s message from the rest of the verses of this chapter.

 4 “I will stretch out My hand against Judah,

And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place,

The names of the idolatrous priests with the pagan priests—

5 Those who worship the host of heaven on the housetops;

Those who worship and swear oaths by the LORD,

But who also swear by Milcom;

6 Those who have turned back from following the LORD,

And have not sought the LORD, nor inquired of Him.”

These verses explain what kind of worship that God does not desire.

God is rejecting the types of people listed below. He will stretch out His hands against them:

• Those who are the idolatrous and pagan priests. God will pull out the seed of mischief that has grown the tree of evil, and brought the fruit that misguided and destroyed million of souls that He made with extreme care, love and for His purpose. Yes, God’s justified hand will stretch against all hypocrite and evil preachers, teachers and counselors first. The Lord will not spare the pagan priests who misguided the innocent mankind towards idol worshipping in defiance against their Creator.
• Those who do not believe in God’s existence. They worship idols made with their own hands or the host of heaven. These people worship everything in heavens and earth that benefit them; but refuse to worship the Creator.
• Those who are the hypocrite, are simply double minded who call upon the name of the Lord, but do not trust God completely because their confidence in other gods is greater than the one who created them. The reason is that they are devoid of His love.
• Those who have turned their backs to the LORD and do not even care to know about Him. They will also face God’s judgment. Such people are completely lost in the things of the world. They live, eat, drink, and are merry. They will not bother to inquire about God and His Will, even until the last day; when they will be utterly consumed from the face of the land.

Let’s look at our idols or Milcom of whom we swear and worship in reality:

• A great number of people worship engraved images made out of their own hands to honor and rely on. They defy their own creator and the creator of all those things that they bow down to, like sun, moon, stars, animals, trees, plants etc.
• Mankind counterfeits the only true Lord God Almighty with man-made gods. For example, we pretend to believe in the LORD but seek psychic, astrologer, white witches, black witches, and many other kinds of idols installed at high places, that we depend upon, more than God.
• Our idols are also materialistic strengths like wealth, prestigious status, pride, beauty, intelligence, knowledge, talents and OUR POWER.
• We love and trust people more than God such as a father, mother, husband, wife, son, and daughter or any other human relations.
• We honor and obey man made governments and their laws more than the Lord’s commandments.
• Simply, anything that we put in first place before the LORD is our idol.

7 Be silent in the presence of the Lord GOD;

For the day of the LORD is at hand,

For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice;

He has invited His guests.

8 “And it shall be,

In the day of the LOR D’s sacrifice,

That I will punish the princes and the king’s children,

And all such as are clothed with foreign apparel.

Verse 7 illustrates the blessed people who belong to God and they are clothed as His guests. God has bid His obedient children be protected from His day of judgment.

Verse 8 portrays those people who are princes and king’s children. They love, relay and worship the wealth and the riches of this world because they falsely believe that they are princes and kings who own this world. All those who are clothed in foreign apparel are the ones who do not belong to God. They are dressed in denial and disobedience to the will of the LORD. They reject God’s Will for living a life style to satisfy their selfish and evil desires of the flesh. They are called the princes and the king’s children because the only voice they heard and obeyed all the days of their lives was the prince of the air (satan). As we read in Ephesians 2:2, “in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,”

In Matthew 22 the Lord Jesus Christ mentioned the exact incidence as Zephaniah 1:7-8 that will happen at the Great Day of the Lord. Let’s read Matthew 22 for clearer understanding.

Matthew 22

1 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said:

2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged marriage for his son,

 3 and sent out his servants to call those who were

invited to the wedding, and they were not willing to come.

4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and

all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”’

 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business.

6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them.

7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he

sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.

9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’

10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man

there who did not have on a wedding garment.

12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

In this parable God wants us to understand for who is worthy to be a part of the great heavenly celebration of the salvation of saints in His Kingdom. Many who are chosen are found unworthy due to lack of their knowledge about God’s will. They made light of God’s messages and went their ways to earthly chores. The rest seized His servants, treated them spitefully and killed them. Therefore, God will send His armies to destroy them on His Great Day.

God will ceaselessly send out His servants to publish the invitation at every corner and with every soul on earth to come and join the great celebration for their salvation, that the LORD has given freely to all those who will accept His calling. Multitudes came to join this great heavenly feast, but some did not bother to dress appropriately according to the banquet’s obligation. For they are found dressed in rags of their spiritual filthiness in spite of such an awesome privilege to join the Kingdom of God in holiness. Finally, the King of kings and the Lord of lords will announce His servants to bind their hand and foot, take them away, and cast them into outer darkness; where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

9 In the same day I will punish

All those who leap over the threshold,

Who fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.

On the Great Day of the Lord every misconduct and evil of mankind will be judged. God will punish all those who have filled His house (earth) with violence, deceit, abuse, misuse, and torture to slaughter the innocent. That day will be the end of child molesters, drug and child sex traffickers, evil politicians, sex addicts and every other evil doer (the list of sins is very long).

In Zechariah Chapter 8 vs. 16-17; God says:

“But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render the verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace. Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord.”

 Praise the Lord for such a fair judgment against the evil on earth. Rejoice all you pure and innocent people, who are abused and tortured from the hands of evil doers; because the Master of this house (world) has come to avenge every violence and deceit. He will give you the permanent shelter where peace, joy and love will prevail forever.

10 “And there shall be on that day,” says the LORD,

“The sound of a mournful cry from the Fish Gate,

A wailing from the Second Quarter,

And a loud crashing from the hills”.

11 Wail, you inhabitants of Maktesh!

“For all the merchant people are cut down;

All those who handle money are cut off.”

Listen, all ye the inhabitants of this Earth; for the Great Day of the Lord has come that will bring forth the mournful cry and a loud crashing from the hills. The LORD will cut off the eminent merchant people, money hoarders, and money handlers, who desire to be the kings and queens to rule the world. They have rejected the Great King LORD due to their pride in the wealth and treasures that have blinded them to see the truth. Therefore, the King of kings will cut off all money worshippers from the face of the earth.

12 “And it shall come to pass at that time

That I will search Jerusalem with lamps,

And punish the men

Who are settled in complacency,

Who say in their heart,

‘The LOR D will not do good,

Nor will He do evil.’

Verse 12 is pointing out to those who always lived in the contentment of their self-righteousness, under a false impression that God will not judge nor will do well. They misguide themselves and love to live as their heart desires. They deny the truth because they do not want to give up their blinded sinful life style to acknowledge God’s Will which leads to repentance; and helps transform to the holiness of the LORD; that would be too boring and dry for them. Therefore, God will search them with lamps (no one can hide) to be judged fairly on the Day of the Lord.

13 Therefore their goods shall become booty,

And their houses a desolation;

They shall build houses, but not inhabit them;

They shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine.”

Verse 13 helps us to understand the vanity of things that man trusted and worshipped. Our plans of life will be shattered because we did not seek the Lord’s communion and His participation in our life. We have thrown God behind our back and have become a god in our own eyes. We have rejected the ruler of this universe and have become a ruler of our own lives. There is no room for God in our home, work, and heart. We have built a room full of greed and lust right in the center of our life to rule us and destroy our relationship with God. The LORD wants to rule our lives only to give us peace, joy and rescue us from the hands of the enemy. Our enemy is our trust in the work of our own hands that we build to buy security and prosperity. Such works and things are merely shallow, unreliable and perishable. Man’s trust in himself will be shaken and destroyed. They will build houses, but not inhabit them. They shall plant the vineyard, but not drink their wine. Praise the Lord for his righteous judgments.

14 The great day of the LORD is near;

It is near and hastens quickly.

The noise of the day of the LORD is bitter;

There the mighty men shall cry out.

15 That day is a day of wrath,

A day of trouble and distress,

A day of devastation and desolation,

A day of darkness and gloominess,

A day of clouds and thick darkness,

16 A day of trumpet and alarm

Against the fortified cities

And against the high towers.

17 “I will bring distress upon men,

And they shall walk like blind men,

Because they have sinned against the LORD ;

Their blood shall be poured out like dust,

And their flesh like refuse.”

Verses 14 to 17 is the voice of the LORD crying to the cities that, “you will be judged for the sins you have done against Me”. The Great Day of the LORD is very near in which mighty men shall cry for their inequities. They sold themselves into the hands of satan and did evil against the innocent. They were blinded with the shimmering gold, deaf with the sound of devil’s false promises. Their mouths opened in self-worshiping and shut to praise the one who created them. The LORD called them all their lives through the voices of His servants to repent to find salvation in their Savior – their God. But they rejected the voices of repentance due to their hypocrisy, pride, and ego. They became puppets in the hands of their master “satan” to hurt and kill God’s servants. In spite of their extreme cruelty, God gave them multiple chances out of His unconditional love; but they refused constantly.

Alas, the Great Day of His Judgment is near, which will be:

• The day of wrath
• A day of trouble and distress
• A day of devastation and desolation
• A day of darkness, gloominess, clouds and thick darkness
• A day of trumpet and alarm against the fortified cities and high towers

That day will be so distressing that mankind will walk like a blind man, completely confused and stressed. That day will be a day of death for sinners and evil doers. That day their blood will be poured out like a dust, and their flesh like refuse. That day will be the end of all evil.

18 Neither their silver nor their gold

Shall be able to deliver them

In the day of the LORD’s wrath;

But the whole land shall be devoured

By the fire of His jealousy,

For He will make speedy riddance

Of all those who dwell in the land.

Verse 18 helps mankind with an awareness of the worthlessness of the riches of this earth. Men hoard wealth with faith in its power to protect them at times of need and trouble. Many lose their souls for the love of wealth and prosperity of this materialistic world. Their trust is in their own capabilities and riches, other than the Lord God Almighty. Neither their silver nor gold will deliver them from the day of the LORD’s wrath. That day will be the end of every idol that men have worshipped, including themselves. Only God and His righteousness will prevail forever because He is alpha and omega – the beginning and the end. His rule remains forever because He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

Dear friend, I beg of you to separate yourself from this list of people mentioned in Zephaniah, chapter 1. You still have time to this day of judgment of the Lord; which is coming very soon. Humble yourself and repent. Seek God’s mercy in the only Savior and Messiah – the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only way to your salvation. He came to earth only to save you! Read His promises which are the light, life, and truth for each and every person living on earth.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.” 

John 10:9

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved,

and will go in and find pasture … I have come that they may

have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

John 11:25

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life, he

who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And

whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.”

John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the

light of the world. He who follows Me shall not

walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Our covenant faith and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ can save us from the Day of Judgment.
