The Vaccine Pope

Those who follow me have seen my take on the COVID-19 crisis evolve from being fairly scared at first, to very concerned, to being confused about inconsistencies in reporting and the unwillingness to listen to, and in some cases downright ostracising of, intelligent dissenting opinions and interpretations. I get very suspicious every time censorship is applied. Extensive research turned all of this into anger at the level of stupidity we see from our elected leaders. If that sounds harsh and arrogant then so be it. It is very difficult not to conclude the corona-crisis is probably one of the biggest hysterical events in the history of mankind. But don't take my word from it. 

Ivor Cummins is one of my favourite critical thinkers on health issues overall and one of the first to interpret the available corona data different than the official WHO's marching orders implied. In his typical no-nonsense Irish accented common sense observations he lays bare, with the right amount of sarcasm when it is called for, the many fallacies regarding this virus. "The new normal" and "social distancing" are straight out of the Newspeak vocabulary. But you need not take his word from it either. Last week he interviewed one of the world’s top immunologists, whose nickname is The Vaccine Pope, explaining the real situation, including his conclusion that the world already has achieved 70 to 80% herd immunity, the fallacy of wearing masks, and why a vaccine would only be effective for people with a healthy immune system, not for those at risk.
