Value of network marketing
According to Robert Kiyosaki, network marketing is the business of the 21st century.
When I read the book, I could not connect. He In a world where automation, digitization and AI are changing the world, we become more disconnected. Shopping physically in TESCO today we can choose self check-out and we don't need to interact with the cashier. Or we can also choose shop online and they will deliver it to our doorstep. We become more self sufficient and finally become so self absorbed that we cannot relate to people anymore.
In the other extreme, network marketing is all about connecting with people. What I learn through this process is how to connect with people and the more people I met, the more I learn from the sharing out of the story of their life. This personal enrichment process is highly valuable and I would recommend everyone to try it.
Out of all the stories that I got, the most amazing and touching story was by a gentlemen name Rajan Warrier. He started to be involved in network marketing when he as working in Australia in the 1990s. It was then a side business while he was pursuing his professional career in the IT industry. With new marketing opening in India, he and his family packed their life in Australia and shifted back to India in 1998 believing that the network marketing business will grow big in India.
Back in India, he realised that he didn't know anyone except his close family members but the training and personal development he'd experienced while in Australia was enough to help him believe and grow the business beyond his imagination. With the success, he and his wife was invited to speak to other network marketing platform which brought them to New Zealand in June 2016.
In December 2016, his daughter had an accident in a remote area in New Zealand. Based in India, it would take him almost 24 hours to get to her bedside. He called his mentor in Australia to inform of the catastrophe to share the news. His mentor contacted his network (which was build through the network marketing business) in New Zealand and the network had mobilised a support communication chain that Rajan was able to get the latest updates on his daughter almost real time.
By the time he got to her in the hospital, he had received lots of well wishes and prayers for his daughter. She was unconscious by she was attended by the best specialist available which was also found through the network. As a parent, this support is priceless and the global network of people who are not tied to each other formally has value that all the money in the world cannot compare with.
Amazing story of the value that people offer through the connection established initially for business purpose and the best part Rajan will be in Kuala Lumpur next week to share his story and I am going to be there.
Suraya is a serial network builder who looks forward to adding value to her connection.

5yNicely written. You reminded me the need to continously invest in relationships. After all, your network is your net worth. ✌️😊
