Verra's April 2024 Newsletter
Dear Colleague,
At the time of writing, the European Climate Summit in Florence, Italy, where Verra had a strong presence, is winding down. We enjoyed connecting with many of you there and appreciated the opportunity to exchange views on recent developments in the carbon markets.
In other event-related news, several of our colleagues will be in Ottawa, Canada, for the fourth session of Global Plastic Treaty negotiations (INC-4), which begins on Tuesday. Just in time for INC-4, we published the latest edition of our Plastic Program Newsletter, which includes new stakeholder resources and information about recently registered projects.
Next week, we are excited to host our quarterly stakeholder update webinar on Wednesday, April 24, at 11:00 am ET. We will share our progress toward our New Era for Verra commitments, discuss highlights from the last quarter (such as the recent VCS Program updates), and look ahead to our upcoming priorities. We will also have time to answer any questions you may have.
In closing, we want to share with you a short video explainer about the role of standards in the carbon markets, which we developed in collaboration with Carbonwise. We hope that you enjoy this and share it with others!
