(Video) What Does Self-Care Mean to YOU?

I’m in the middle of creating a new home with my husband, building a new professional support team, recalibrating my life purpose post-pandemic and designing a new rhythm and flow for my life. It’s a lot to navigate. And, I would not be able to move through all these transitions with some sanity if I was not fully committed to my own self-care. I define self-care as the art and science of attuning and responding to your needs and desires … moment to moment.

For me, it’s not about adding something to your to-do list, it’s cultivating a kinder, gentler, more supportive way of being with yourself. Here’s a short video chat on self-care with my friends at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. This was filmed while I was leading a retreat there (I’ll be back there leading Awakening Your Wild Soul April 26-28 and Oct. 27-29):

Want more? My entire blog is devoted to self-care (grab your favorite bevvie, curl up in a chair and peruse past posts); one of my favorites is Self-Care is Not Self-Improvementread more.

P.S. I’d love to support you! I create/lead interactive workshops and retreats around the globe and am based in Western NC. I’d love to offer high-level mentoring and support to your team or group around reclaiming balance, resiliency and creativity. Reach out to me today, I’m booking through 2025.

For me, self-care means living in a place that feels like home. Having a safe space to just breathe and regroup is crucial.
