IN VIETNAM, FMCG CONTINUOUSLY GAINS POSITIVE MOMEMTUM WHICH IS REFLECTED IN GROWTH ACROSS MOST CATEGORIES IN Q4/2015
In the last quarter of 2015, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) growth in the six key cities in Vietnam (Hanoi, HCMC, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Nha Trang and Da Nang) has continuously shown recovery with 5.7% growth (compared to 4.5% in the previous quarter), driven by an increase of 4.9% volume growth (vs. 3.6% in Q3'2015). And Rural has been rising as a new source of growth for many manufacturers. This story is again seen noticeably in 2015. Last year, FMCG sales in rural area showed significant growth at 5.5%, mainly led by volume growth (5.5%).
