VISION and EuroBLECH 2024: My personal highlights and takeaways
Last month was a busy but rewarding time for us at Vision Components. At both VISION and EuroBLECH, I had the chance to present our latest technologies and connect with many partners and customers. One highlight was meeting a customer from the U.S. who traveled to Stuttgart especially for the event and to visit it us at our booth. Seeing the reach and impact of our technology firsthand was truly encouraging.
These events aren’t just about showing innovations – they’re about connecting with partners, hearing about their challenges, and finding ways to solve them together.
VISION 2024: Making vision technology more accessible
One of the innovations we introduced at VISION was the VC MIPI IMX900 Camera. It was great to hear directly from customers that the IMX900 hits an important mark, bridging the gap between our IMX296 and IMX568 models. This camera combines the right balance of performance (resolution) and cost, addressing what many of our partners have been asking for. The specifications:
We also showcased our new OEM module for laser triangulation sensors, a powerful solution for precise inspection tasks in tight spaces. The specifications are:

But that wasn’t all: New partnerships for better solutions
The technology itself was only part of the excitement at VISION – building partnerships is what truly extends our solutions' impact. Our collaborations with PCB Arts and evoVIU, for instance, make vision technology easier and more flexible for a broader range of users. PCB Arts’ EdgeKit, based on the NVIDIA Jetson platform, works seamlessly with all VC MIPI Camera Modules, so users can connect and configure cameras quickly. This speeds up development and reduces costs. evoVIU’s no-code platform, on the other hand, makes it easy to design vision applications with a simple interface. These applications run on any embedded hardware and fully support VC MIPI Cameras.
Both partnerships are opening new doors for our customers, and I’m excited to keep growing together with our partners.
EuroBLECH 2024: Smarter angle measurement for faster results
"With the VC angle measurement system, we can get things up and running 95% faster than other setups!"
This feedback from a customer at EuroBLECH made my day. In the past, achieving precise angle measurement required complex setups and extra computing power, adding time and cost. Now, I’m proud that our VC nano 3D-Z sensor makes this process simple, delivering accurate results right out of the box. For industries where speed and precision are key, this solution gives manufacturers an easy way to improve their quality without time-intensive installation procedures – just as they’ve been asking for.
The future of Embedded Vision
One of the most exciting takeaways from both VISION and EuroBLECH was seeing how Embedded Vision continues to grow, with AI playing an increasingly central role. It was inspiring to see major processor manufacturers like AMD joining the conversation – clear proof that vision technology is advancing far beyond traditional machine vision. AI opens up so many new possibilities and is definitely an area with room for further innovation.
