Vista Radio Celebrates a Century of Local Radio with a Legend
This year, Vista Radio, Canada’s most locally focused media company, celebrates 100 years of radio in Stratford, Ontario with CJCS.
Marking the century of service for the city of Stratford is a yearlong event filled with many events, and occasions under the umbrella of “The CJCS Century of Community”. Most recently, the studios welcomed a visit from former employee and Canadian broadcast legend, Lloyd Robertson as part of the 100-year celebrations at CJCS in Stratford. Robertson started his broadcasting career at the station in 1952.
After a studio interview, the Canadian icon remarked "It's also to the credit of yourself and Vista that you're resetting radio on the course for the times. CJCS is so well established as an iconic Stratford brand it's heartening to see dedicated people giving it so much love and care. Personally, I owe it so much and will always be among the first in line to support it."
Staff of CJCS commented that Lloyd Robertson was kind, very generous, and happy to meet and share with everyone in the building. As he left the station his parting words were ‘Let’s Keep Connecting’.
The CJCS Century of Community continues all year with even more surprises and fun in store for the community.
