Visualizing The Abundance Revolution

I got some mixed responses when I wrote about collaborating with AI the other week.

It seems many of you have great ideas about leveraging it for creativity, and I suspect some of the ideas I heard even have huge disruptive potential. 

But while we debated the why of embracing AI, we didn’t truly experience our rapidly approaching future. 

We didn’t live it, feel it, see it, or experience it. 

As I’ve become increasingly into yoga and meditation, I’ve also re-discovered the power of visualization. What I’ve tried visualizing is The Abundance Revolution: a term I’ve heard several people use. 

The Abundance Revolution

The term captures the idea of a shift from scarcity to abundance, facilitated by AI's ability to enhance productivity and innovation across various sectors.

The Abundance Revolution describes AI’s transformative societal impacts, particularly in terms of creating an abundance of resources, capabilities, and opportunities through technological advancements.

Take a breath and try to picture a day in this environment, if you can. Imagine collaborating with AI that performs cognitive tasks at superhuman speeds and accuracy. At any point, feel free to close your eyes for a beat and really see it in your mind’s eye. 

It’s Monday, October 23rd 2034, and you’ve just stepped into your office with a hot coffee. 

Maybe your first task after checking your inbox is to delegate routine activities to your system, like analyzing customer reviews or sifting through social media comments. 

Armed with that processed data minutes later, you then head to a product development brainstorm with your team, where you dive deep into creative ideation and potential strategies.

You know what your market seems to want, and you’ve got a good idea of where your opportunities might lie.

You’d still be knee-deep in charts or spreadsheets in our current times, but having sped up your routine task with AI, you now find yourself exploring groundbreaking ideas, tapping into a flow of innovation that seemed unreachable before. 

You feel inspired, excited, and motivated. And you know your team feel exactly the same way. 

Fast forward to later in the day, when you’re collaborating on a complex problem.

While by this time your AI systems are well integrated into your workflow, you stop to appreciate how it taps into human ingenuity. It’s not only generating solutions, but it’s leveraging real, human knowledge at a completely unprecedented scale. 

You’re using peer-reviewed, scientifically validated studies from Finnish medical experts to inform your prototype, carefully curated and fact-checked. But you’ve never met them or even opened a medical journal. (Heck, from your Dubai-based FMCG organization, you never even realized there was a pioneering research hub on these topics at all!)

As you wrap up on time and head to the gym, you zoom out to consider your whole day—the playing field in your industry feels more level than ever. 

You think about how access to information and opportunities has expanded since you read this article. The geographical and social boundaries that once existed have almost dissolved. 

It would never have been possible without AI’s democratizing power in your daily operations.

Pretty deep, pretty game-changing. Would you agree?

Unlike my usual PCDs, I wanted this newsletter to be more of an experience than anything prescriptive. 

I wanted to paint a picture of a not-so-distant future—one that’s revolutionary, inevitable, and infinite. 

But there’s so much to think about as we stand on this precipice of profound change, and my newly discovered visualization practices often leave me with more questions. 

So, I do still have a few questions for you to reflect on:
