VLOG 3 Context and Coincidence
Art is a thing I fall more in love with day by day
There are moments of coincidence when I look at a piece, something slides into place in my mind, and it’s suddenly it’s done. Nothing I can do about it. Adding anything would be just wrong.
The strange part is when I step back and look it in the wider context of all the work I’ve done over the last couple of years, and it makes total sense. Those are the moments that really excite me and spur me forward. I mean, if this is all an evolution of my mind, understanding, and technical skills, and if I keep doing it...
Today’s VLog talks a bit about that
How coincidence and context can be linked together, and end up producing a piece that means a lot...at least in the context of my life. I used to laugh at this kind of stuff, artists making a mountain out of a molehill...but in a way that is art.
Why does this painting mean so much to me? How does it fit it? How did it come about?
