volume 8: time to restore and reflect

A time for reflection...

after a few days of fullness—full house, full stomachs, full hearts—i took some “me time” on the coast to commemorate a full year—one that’s been full of highs and lows.

as much as life inevitably brings on times of loss, i appreciate how i can go all in with nature to restore and reflect. it continues to teach me about the depths and heights of gratitude—in joy and even in grief. in the same way two sunsets never look the same, we can count on change.

walking on shell beach at high tide, watching the waves roar louder as they crashed on the rocks, reminded me how precious these ebbs and flows are. no matter how turbulent the tide gets, the rocks remain undeterred. like when we ground ourselves in our purpose and values—authentically—were assured we can weather it through too.

last week, i was so grateful for one of the moments, as im so grateful for all of u. as crazy as these past 18+ months have been, i hope you can take some “me time” to reflect on your own waves that come and go, and see the gratitude in it too.

(id love to hear your gratitude story if you’re up for sharing.)

some of the conversations i’ve had the honor of being part of have caused me to pause and reflect on the work we’re doing to create not only better workplaces, but better conditions for people, for communities, for the planet to thrive. i’d like to share two of those with you below.

more trust + more profit + more purpose = impact for all

4.4 million workers quit their jobs in september alone and the trend has been increasing over the last several months...even during high economic uncertainty. as leaders, nows the time to have an honest conversation—whats the best talent out there and whats it going to take to keep and attract them. the roi speaks for itself. if you invest in people, they’ll invest in you. more trust, more profit, more purpose and impact for all. watch my segment on "Mornings with Maria" on FOX Business, here.
