Waiting is Part of Your Growth Process

Waiting is Part of Your Growth Process

“And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.” - Deuteronomy 8:2 ESV

This scripture recalls the Lord’s humbling and testing of the Israelites during their forty years in the wilderness, examining their faithfulness and obedience to His commands.

In our personal spiritual journey, we similarly face times of waiting and testing that help develop our faith and character as we strive to live out our life in Christ.

Delays and prolonged periods of waiting, much like the Israelites' forty years before entering the Promised Land, are often necessary for our growth. They prepare us for the upcoming challenges and test our faith.

Often, our first response to these delays is fear, as seen with the Israelites. This fear can extend our waiting and blur our vision, preventing us from stepping forward in faith. Instead of giving into fear, we should focus on God's continual presence, remembering He is with us and has not forgotten us.

We should understand that these delays are part of God's intentional plan to strengthen our character and deepen our faith.

If you are currently experiencing a delay in what you want to achieve with your life, do not be discouraged. Trust in God's plan and His presence,  and recognize that this delay is designed to help you grow and evolve into the person you need to be to fulfill His purpose for your life.

Accept this time to mature spiritually without rushing the process.
