A Wake-Up Call! The Life Expectancy Of Senior Executives Has Dropped 📉

Did you know that senior executives in the US have a life expectancy of just 71.2 years?

According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, this statistic should serve as a wake-up call for all of us.

As busy professionals, we often prioritise work over our health, leading to low energy, chronic stress, and weight gain.

But it doesn't have to be this way...

Let me share an inspiring story about my client Doug.

Doug struggled with poor cardiovascular health and relied on medication, including blood pressure medication.

After a health scare that shocked him and his family, he knew he needed to make a change.

It was now or never and he was fortunate to have caught it early.

Instead of waiting for a chronic illness to creep up on him, Doug decided to take action and enrolled in our flagship program - The Elite Executive Health Program.

Fast forward 12 months, and he’s completely off the medication and feels fitter and stronger than ever at 60 years old.

So, what strategies did we use to help Doug achieve this transformation?

  1. Strength Training: We incorporated a structured weightlifting program that not only helped him lose weight but also increased his muscle mass. This is crucial for overall health.
  2. Enhancing VO2 Max: We focused on improving his cardiovascular fitness by enhancing his VO2 max, an essential measure of aerobic endurance. This boosted his stamina and significantly improved his heart health.
  3. Improved Nutrition: Doug shifted to a balanced diet rich in whole foods, reducing processed items while embracing fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats. And yes, he still enjoyed the occasional glass of wine!
  4. Consistent Sleep: We made sleep a priority, establishing a bedtime routine that allowed him to achieve 7-9 hours of restful sleep each night. This greatly enhanced his energy levels and mental clarity for work.
  5. Stress Management: We adopted simple mindfulness techniques that helped him manage work-related stress effectively.

The lesson here?

Don’t wait for a chronic illness to creep up on you before you take action.

Everyone should be aiming for prevention rather than intervention.

Doug got lucky, but it could have gone the other way!

Imagine waking up each day with the energy to keep pushing forward in your career and enjoy quality time with your family.

I’m sure we can both agree that our health is our most valuable asset.

Everything we've worked so hard for, whether that's our career or relationships with our loved ones, will come crumbling down without good health.

And it's never too late to turn things around.

Doug did just that at 60 years young.
