The title and meta description are two key elements that can make all the difference when it comes to improving your search engine rankings. To ensure you get the best results from SEM, here is a short guide in five bullet points on how to optimize both these elements:
1. Keep titles concise and descriptive – Titles should be no longer than 60 characters long so that they don’t get cut off in SERPs (search engine result pages). Make sure they clearly describe what users will find on each page. The above title for example is 57 characters.
2. Include target keywords – Incorporate relevant keywords into titles and descriptions as this helps improve visibility for those terms in SERPs.
3. Use action-oriented language - Write compelling copy using active verbs such as “discover” or “learn more” rather than passive phrases like “find out about". This encourages people to click through from SERP listings which can help boost organic traffic numbers over time. When people read action verbs, it is a prompt for them to take another step on your site or content. Helps keep them longer on your content.

4. Create unique meta descriptions - Meta descriptions should be crafted with care since they provide additional context about each page's contents while also encouraging clicks from searchers who may not have seen your listing otherwise
5. Test different versions - It pays off to experiment with different combinations of words, lengths, etc. until you find one that works well for any given page/keyword combination. You can test long tail keywords too to see how that fits in.
