Orange Skies and Burning Eyes as Smoke Shrouds New York City
The smoke from wildfires hundreds of miles north that turned New York into a scene of unsettling gloom on Wednesday arrived as if from a burning building blocks away, draping the city in a thick and otherworldly orange-gray hue.
In the air hung the acrid smell of a campfire. Not fog, not mist, not really weather at all — this was something new to even veteran New Yorkers.
EEOC issues ‘capstone’ COVID-19 guidance
Last month, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released its final, or “capstone,” updated guidelines for employers in dealing with COVID-19 in a way that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other federal laws the EEOC enforces. The agency modified its prior guidance on dozens of specific questions, especially questions concerning “long COVID.”

Top benefits LGBTQ employees want in the workplace in 2023
Just 30.7% of LGBTQ employees are out to everyone at work, while 43.2% are out to only certain groups or individuals, according to the survey.
