We got the office! Now we need the entrepreneur.
Remember my onematchstick story? Well, we reached the office space!
It took me 6421 days, and 13 major steps in the journey. And I now have six months' worth of office space (to the value of R 70,000) that I “paid for” with a single match stick (valued at 2 cents). Cool hey?!
And I want to give this office space to a startup entrepreneur to help them take their business to the next level. (I shared with IOL News why this is so important to me, as my way to help create more jobs in South Africa).
Do you know of someone who needs office space in Johannesburg? Please let them know of this opportunity.
So the search is on for the one matchstick startup, (and applications close 5 April 2024) and I would so appreciate one last bit of help to spread the word about this opportunity, because this is the culmination of the last 17 years of the journey of one matchstick.
You'll find all the info on how to apply on this page, including tips from Allon Raiz and Mongezi Mtati for the applicants.

Last month I also launched the podcast “Risk & Rise”. There's six episodes already if you want to go and have a listen (about overcoming the fear of failure and becoming risk-fit), and you'll find it on your favorite podcast app. We'll be featuring the top applicants in this podcast.
I'm really looking forward to welcoming the onematchstick startup entrepreneur to the onematchstick office - could it be you? Or your friend?
Let's find out!
