We have all lost a loved one to cancer - This is a way to honour them

The end of 2021 is approaching, and I would like to share with you an important initiative for all of us to make a difference and help cancer research advance faster.
This year, International Agency for Research on Cancer (#IARC) has launched its first-ever I support IARC - the crowdfunding campaign through which you can support cancer research, and leave a mark, -by having your name or the name of a loved one, engraved in the walls of our new headquarters, the Nouveau Centre.
Driven by our ambition to decrease the burden of cancer and to advance research faster, IARC’s future headquarters, the Nouveau Centre, will welcome more than 500 researchers of 50 different nationalities. A Biobank with more than 10 million samples, will be available to all researchers around the world, allowing subsequently better cooperation in the fight against cancer. Donate and become an IARC supporter here.

IARC’s role is unique: it is the only agency in the world conducting scientific research for international cancer control and prevention. While cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world (1 in 5 people will develop cancer in their lifetime), almost half of all cancers are preventable, which is why prevention, and the identification of risk factors are important. Support cancer research here.
Every donation counts and means a lot to us! To ensure the sustainability, quality, and independence of its crucial work, IARC depends on the support of its donors. All of us – researchers, scientists, families, individuals, each of us can take action and contribute to the future of global health.
