Are we really loving all Remote work?
Post Pandemic impacts on the agile team(s), All-Remote work culture, Project to Product (P2P) and Agile transformations are the learning topics for me in this quarter.
You will see my all posts, articles will be influenced by these themes.
While swimming in the ocean of articles & knowledge, I liked the post around 9 truths post-pandemic world is going through.
BE A COACH & LEADER - THAT YOU WANT TODAY!!
We are expecting too much from others but as Coach, we are not accepting that ALL remote and Post Pandemic world is different. We need to be more resilient, visionary, and communicative and take care of our mental health. As a Coach or Leader, you need to be transformative and then help your organization around it ....here is my take
Truth: Work no longer means a shared office
Many organizations will find that a certain degree of remote working is better in the long term for productivity, sustainability, and employee well-being. But there have to be clear guidelines - if you are hybrid or All remote. In Hybrid, we still make a direct human connection but for all remote - there is a new paradigm shift & we need to train leaders to handle this workforce so that they are productive and talent is staying with them.
Coach the leaders on - Sharing the vision, Team charter, 5W1H, Problem-Solving, Daily Check-In & Check-out, Fun break-outs, team building remote ice-breakers, and using tools like Miro & Mural for collaboration. Better weekly planning, Sprint Planning, Impediment tracker and common tools where everything is reflected transparently. Communicating does not mean calling, talking, the best language etc. in the agile world - it means you are there with your team, for them, showing them the vision :)
Truth: Big organizations can learn from smaller ones right now
The pandemic gave new opportunities to small, scrappy, nimble, and innovative companies that could pivot on a dime and flip their business model overnight.
As a Coach - You need to train Leaders and teams on aspects of being NIMBLE ( Does not mean LEAN), small collaborative value-driven teams/PODs/Units and virtual guild/structures that can model to solve complex problems without touching the real org structures. Holacracy models, Purpose drive units and adaptability for new change as a cultural shift.
Truth: You need renaissance people, not just niche specialists
Now the real meaning of RESOURCE & TALENT is becoming visible. The future is when you have people who can continuously grow in the BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Non-Linear and Incomprehensible) world.

Agile organizations mean you have talented people who can pivot with you. It does not matter how many resources you have, they are just a +1 but if they are productive, effective, and innovative - metrics will speak the truth.
Successful digital transformations rely on multi-skilled, agile employees who will constantly reskill and adapt to the ever-accelerating technology landscapes. The key is not how much you know, but how quickly you can learn new things and use them..
Truth: Business leaders don't always lead the change
IT function in the organization is now an enabler for any business and businesses should work closely thinking IT as partners after the covid-19. So now the opportunity to drive business agility will be key in digital transformations
so as a coach you have an opportunity to drive best remote work culture -
Enable a leader that fosters a better remote work culture and coach them to build teams
How can we best work together in this environment?’
‘How do you prefer to communicate?’ and
‘What kind of support do you need?’”
Good luck and keep shining :) - As a coach we need to transform too for this Remote world
Comment on your experience and if you would like to talk more about Agility in the REMOTE POST PANDEMIC WORLD. Now our teams are not co-located not people are hesitant about OFFSHORING... It means you are not just a Process coach but a People & tools coach that can help all remote teams perform, collaborate & work well to the best of their abilities......
I am working on polishing my skills as an agile coach on facilitations using tools, Neuroscience to understand human behaviour and Meditation for my personal health. What is your learning this quarter? Do share with me and let's collaborate virtually if our learning goals are aligned.
