The Wealth is in Your Roots.

Truth is, a big motivation and truth behind why I got into my personal development journey, ancestral healing work, entrepreneurial endeavors, and quest to reclaim the full spectrum, essence and expression of my womanhood....

is because I didn't like my family.

I didn't like the poverty, the struggle, the lack of unity, the shallow love, the bouts of depression, the uncertainty in our livelihoods, the unhealthy lifestyles, the rocky relationships, the pitiful marriages, the weak men, the toxic women, the absence of any sense of pride or accomplishment....I clearly could go on but you get it.

You may want to stop reading because this isn't what people admit, and definitely not on Linkedin.

But don't.

Hear me out.

I did not grow up seeing anything in my immediate family unit, or even my extended family system, that I wanted to hold onto, honor, carry forward or pass down when it came to creating my own life and family.

I realized this at an early age. Age 8 to be exact.

And it's then that I made a vow to myself, with God and my guiding spirits listening, that I'd be the pattern breaker, way-creator, dream live-r in my family.

The one who healed and showed how.

The one who accomplished her dreams and helped others.

The one who didn't fall suit but rose above and shined.

The one who had more than enough and could positively impact others through her overflow.

In. That. Order.

I would change my life AND THEN inspire, help and guide others—related to me, and not (because I refused martyrdom and sacrifice too, another ancestral wound pattern).

My lack of...I don't know what to call it...towards my family doesn't mean I didn't or don't love them.

I do. And I appreciate who they are as mothers, fathers, brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles.

I love how we can have a good time and be resilient.

I just hate how we relate, settle for less and barely survive but call it 'living life' way more.

There is more to life than working yourself to the bone.

There is more to life than waiting to be saved and hoping for God to cut you a break.

There is more to life than continually complaining about what's happened in the past and what systems are impacting us as a society, as a people, as women, as a person.

Because when we decide we're called to be the change we need—and deeply desire—to see in the world, we realize how powerful we are to create, manifest, cultivate and become a steward of bringing the love and abundance that needs to be brought to form for the first time (or in a very long time) into our lives and this planet.

I thought that if I made more money, my family dynamics would change.

They didn't.

I just didn't have to worry about if the rent would be paid, stay in a job I hated out of responsibility, and knew I could help with the expenses associated with an unexpected, pre-mature death in the family with ease (and did).

My origin story could have led me to be a rampaging, high paid executive in advertising.

My origin story could have led me to be a money coach on the internet, making millions from mediations and basic ass affirmation journals (ok I'm ranting a lil bit now, no shade. all the work is rightful lol)

But instead, my origin story has led me to become the healer, guide, mentor, writer, speaker and inspirational muse that helps us all remove the debris in our mind, body, soul and lineages that no longer serve so we can build and be the bridge to better...and greater.

Because deep deep in my bones, blood and highest calling...this work was always about so much more than financial freedom or time freedom.

It's always been about personal freedom, family repair, and resource replenishment.

Because it's through reclaiming and tapping into our personal freedom that we align with our gifts, we show up in our power, we stay connected to our guiding forces and we get comfortable with the unique experience of being the pattern breaker, paradigm shifter—in our families and in the world, through who we BE and how we LIVE.

That is the recipe fo a better life, a brighter future.
