Consistent Action is a Key to Success

Welcome to this month’s Wealthy Speaker Scoop - a monthly newsletter designed to share tips, strategies, and resources to help professional speakers build the speaking business of their dream and live a wealthy speaker life.

As I mentioned last month, when people ask me, "What's the secret to success in the speaking business?"  I respond, "It's two things: 1. Mindset and 2. Consistent action". Last month we covered mindset, so this month we’re going to focus on consistent action.

Are you in it for the long haul? As much as we’d all like to become overnight successes, building a speaking business is a race of endurance. First, you have to enter the race with the right mindset. Next, you have to start running, and that is a step-by-step process (literally!).

Taking consistent action starts by setting goals, both short-term and long-term. What do you want to achieve this month? This year? Where do you see your speaking business five years from now? Next, take those goals and break them into manageable chunks. Create routines, set up systems, decide what things you need to do consistently to reach your goals.

To help you create consistent action, regardless of whether you are an emerging speaker, a rising superstar, or a seasoned pro, I am sharing some of our best resources on this topic.
