  1. Capital raising - Magnus Metal, an Israeli company developing printers for large metal parts, raised $74M in a second round.
  2. SLA - Formlabs has released a new version of its popular resin printer, boasting many improvements and double the printing speed.
  3. SLA - The Chinese 3D printer manufacturer ELEGOO has released two new resin printers, the Saturn 4 and Saturn 4 Ultra LCD, which have a build volume of 218x122x220 mm and a starting price of $300.
  4. FDM/FFF - New printing method can print on curved surfaces with a simple filament printer, without substantial hardware changes.
  5. SLS University of Nottingham researchers have developed a new coating for printed nylon particles that enhances their functionality. The coating is made using carbon dioxide and can add color, anti-mold, and anti-fungal properties to the printed part.
  6. Industry news - China's Bright Laser Technologies (BLT) reported an operating profit of $170M in 2023, up 34% from the previous year.
  7. Software - LEAP71 launches open source library based on Nobel Prize winner Dan Shechtman's quasicrystals for designing aperiodic aerial and space structures.
  8. Textile - Stratasys has launched a solution that allows for 3D printing directly onto fabric for the TechStyle printer.
  9. Ceramics - Nabertherm, a German company, has released its new LH..DB series of compact sintering furnaces designed for heat-treating ceramic parts and components created through 3D printing.
  10. Fume - BOFA introduces modular air filtration technology for 3D printing at high temperatures.
