Weekly Data Centre News - 01/11/2024

Weekly Update! Welcome to the newsletter that proves data centers are cooler than they sound! First up, for those who can’t get enough of servers and socializing, Data Centre Club Nights hits Zurich on November 19th.

In Q3 news, cloud giants Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta are all seeing strong earnings, with Meta cashing in on AI hype, though falling just a hair short of the mark. And around the globe, massive projects are popping up: Google Cloud’s setting up an AI hub in Saudi Arabia, the U.S. Navy’s building in Guam, and—because Earth isn’t enough—Lumen Orbit’s even looking at data centers in space.

With all this action, one thing’s clear: data centers are taking over, one megawatt at a time. Dive in for the full rundown!
