Startup Spotlight:
Startup: Bureau
Founded in 2020, Bureau is a no-code, identity decisioning platform that offers businesses the complete range of risk, compliance, and ongoing fraud monitoring solutions innovated with AI. The startup focuses on building a data repository that helps brands onboard customers, validate them, verify their credentials, and such. It also helps banks detect mule accounts through a technology platform and helps undertake KYC formalities while onboarding customers.
What they do: Using next-generation orchestration, the Bureau provides businesses with contextualized insights that lead to absolute decisions about digital identity trustworthiness. That makes it easy for consumers to transact and prevents bad actors from slipping by. The Bureau helps businesses achieve growth, operate efficiently, and curtail fraud attacks as well as regulatory risks, ultimately saving businesses millions of dollars.
Why they're different: The Bureau decodes contextual linkages between identity signals to reveal the true motive behind a user’s actions. Their ability to fight identity fraud improves with every interaction — and with a global network of more than half a billion users, they pack a powerful punch.
Funding Status: The Bureau raised $30M in Series B funding led by Sorenson Capital and PayPal Ventures. This round takes the overall funding raised by the company to around $50 million.
