Weekly offshore wind updates
Testing and demo projects on the agenda at WindEnergy Hamburg
At the Offshore Wind Stage, the main test sites for floating wind in Europe invite to a seminar discussing what needs to be done to build a strong offshore test ecosystem.
The seminar is organized together with World Forum Offshore Wind and will take place on September 25 from10.30 to 11.30. The test centres Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP, Spain), Companhia da Energia Oceânica (CEO, Portugal), Foundation OPEN-C (OPEN-C, France), Marin Energi Testcentre (METCentre, Norway), Plataforma Oceánica de Canarias (PLOCAN, Spain) invite you to join the important discussion on the future of test and demo projects in Europe.
New digital tool for offshore wind ports in Norway
We are launching a unique digital showcase of the Norwegian ports that will serve the offshore wind industry.
On September 17th, we are gathering all the Norwegian offshore wind ports in Oslo. Last year, Norwegian Offshore Wind launched the Menon report "Opportunities for Norwegian Ports in Offshore Wind," and our working group for ports and infrastructure is discussing a desired political model for port development in Norway.
At this seminar, we will launch a unique digital tool that shows the capacity, plans, and relevant data for the 23 Norwegian ports that are actively investing in the offshore wind industry. The launch event is in Norwegian and is free and open to everyone.
Explore innovative solutions for inspection of mooring
Norwegian Offshore Wind, NORCE and Bouvet have joined forces to organise a workshop about inspection- and assessment solutions for offshore mooring in Stavanger October 15.
The need for time- and cost-effective solutions is increasing due to the anticipated amount of offshore assets such as wind turbines. Enabling technologies, such as generative artificial intelligence, offers new possibilities for a more effective use of resources.
