In my Live Accountability Group we talked about "GRATEFUL 10 NOW". Set up an accountability call with a friend and have a trigger. Ours is "I'm Down." That triggers the other person to call you and say: "Grateful 10 NOW." And You need to tell your partner 10 things that you are grateful for. In turn they will give you 10.

FitOur current workout: Jason has been crushing kettle bell workouts! 

Try this: (can also use a dumbbell)

4 sets (10 second rest between each movement) of:

  • 30 seconds kettle bells around the world
  • 30 seconds sumo squats
  • 30 seconds single arm clean and push repeat with each arm
  • 30 seconds single legged straight leg deadlift repeat with each arm
  • 30 seconds A-frame kettle bell swings
  • 30 seconds overhead kettle bell tricep extensions
  • 2 Minute rest and repeat

What we are putting in our heads: We completed the#75hard YEAR a few weeks ago... It was a game changer in all aspects of our lives. These were Pili's thoughts:

My Mind- FitterMy Strength- SmarterMy Heart- WiserMy Spirit- Stronger

Looks like I might have got those descriptions flipped—- nah...

I found #75hard by accident. My husband Jason Yarusi and I follow the Iron Cowboy and he happened to be on @andyfrisella podcast. #75hard came out shortly after... or maybe before.

So we jumped in. Jason and I told each other if one failed the other would fail too- this made our relationship stronger.

My mind became fitter because I had to cut through the BS and make time to get it done. We have 3 kids, 2 bulldogs and a couple of businesses. The excuse “I don’t have time...” that wasn’t going to cut it! So the BS had to be cut away.

My Strength became smarter. I needed to know and realize that I AM STRONGER than I know that even though I started at barely doing one push up — I knew I had to start somewhere and I needed to fight my MIND to get STRONGER. The “I Can’t because...” excuse wasn’t going to cut it here!

My Heart- Wiser because I let me ALOHA and frikken SUNSHINE shine as BRIGHTLY AS I WELL PLEASE! I am wiser because I have learned (and am still working on this) that other people’s opinions mean nothing. It’s the light of God that I have inside me that counts.

My Spirt- Stronger... see above. 

I completed the ENTIRE year with Jason!

... #75hard isn’t a challenge. 

It’s a lifestyle.

How we are eating: With clarity and purpose. Food can be a distraction, an after thought or comforting but when we give it a purpose we can create the environment and relationship we want with our eating habits. Ultimately food is our fuel to survive day in and day out and we love pancakes and pizza just as much as the next person. But our daily habits shape who we are and will dictate our future health. If you ask yourself today, "Is the way I am eating meeting my goals for my future health?", what is your honest answer? If yes, keep going. If no, why not? Use food as part of your life and experiences but your life drives what you eat. Don't let food dictate your style of life.

Here are some Star Wars Themed goodies my family crafted for our 6 year old's birthday last week:

Rich

Current productivity hack: Setting 20 minute timer blocks with Alexa that my sole focus is on one of my core 5 tasks that will have a massive positive impact on my business moving forward. Then a 10 minute timer to stretch, get a drink, respond to texts or jump on social. I've found that my productivity simply by doing sprints with the important items then letting my mind relax and then sprint.

Expenses: Want financial freedom? One of the first steps is to identify what you are spending and then break this into essential and non-essential expenses. If you don't know your monthly burn then you can never have a target for gaining your financial freedom. An exercise to look at the last month and write down every cost you incurred. Items like housing, insurances and food may be essential but can they be reduced. For all non-essential items, can you rank them 1-5 with 5 being most important to you. Anything that is not a 4 or 5 eliminate immediately. Tally up what's remaining with you essential costs. Take that number and post it where you can see it. That is now your financial focus. How can your passive revenue meet that number? Once it does you are financially free. Remember small steps in unison serve a great purpose.

Parenting: Speaking to each child separately and taking the time to connect with them and letting them know how much they mean to us. We are always making it a priority to tell them how amazing they are doing at a few things that may seem insignificant, like sitting right while they are eating or saying thank you or letting one of their siblings go first. We catch ourselves telling them what they shouldn't be doing as we prepare them to be great people in life, but it's just as important to tell them how awesome they are now. The same applies for our friends, family and co-workers.
