The session will be led by Dr. Shelley Gilbert of Grief Encounter, and Dr. Saul Hillman, Senior Research Fellow at Anna Freud and an Honorary Lecturer at University College London. It will provide a bridge between research and clinical contexts of traumatic experiences and loss in bereaved children and young people. The presenters will draw upon their own collaborative research and reflect on findings across 12 studies and explore the impact on the grieving process, the clinical meaning and implications.
