Welcome to The Friday Final Thought!

I am excited to introduce The Friday Final Thought 2.0! A two-minute, weekly read for the Utah tech community that features candidate spotlights, local events, weekend weather, fun facts, and, of course, a final thought!

I started the original newsletter last year via e-mail to stay connected with clients, contacts, and friends - and what started as a small audience has grown to well over a thousand! The e-mail version lives on, but I am looking forward to connecting with members of my LinkedIn network and a wider group of connections.

For those of you who don't know me personally, allow me to introduce myself!

I'm Mike!  And I was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. I attended Salt Lake Community College before graduating from Westminster College. I have 9 years of experience in the staffing industry and started my career at Kforce Technology in 2021. Prior to Kforce I spent 8 years in the physician staffing space at CompHealth and before that spent 15 years working in sales and collections leadership at Discover Financial Services.

My family is my everything! I have seven children who keep life exciting whenever I'm not at work. I love being a dad and bonus-dad to my kiddos - there's nothing that I enjoy more. My wife and I are true partners in piloting this big, beautiful, blended family of ours toward a bright future.

In my free time (not running kids around), I can be found fishing or cheering for the Jazz and the Steelers. I enjoy traveling, technology, design, food, concerts, and spending time with friends.

I like all types of music but am particularly fond of rock, reggae, folk, and 90s country. I'm an avid Star Wars and MCU fan, and I consider "Avatar: The Last Airbender" to be one of the best television shows… ever.

My sense of humor was shaped growing up in the 90s, and I love memes of all kinds. I have a passion for many different things which has always helped me to relate to people from all walks of life. I love to hear other's point of view and believe, for the most part, people are giving life their best shot at any given moment - just like me.

I'm blessed to be working for an AMAZING firm in Kforce and excited for the future of my team dedicated to the Salt Lake market. We are a national tech talent firm that partners with the majority of the Fortune 500, and we are also working hard to build relationships with small to mid-size companies locally in UT. I hope there is an opportunity to build a relationship with you and your team if you are ever in need of a talent management partner.
