Mint Group at Microsoft Ignite 2024

Mint Group attended Ignite 2024, Microsoft's annual conference held in Chicago from November 18-22. This global tech event showcased the latest advancements in AI, cloud computing, and enterprise technology, providing a glimpse into the future of digital transformation.

As a leading Microsoft partner in South Africa, Mint Group's presence at Ignite showed our commitment to delivering the latest innovative solutions to our customers. Key highlights from the event included updates to Azure AI, advancements in Microsoft 365 Copilot, and enhanced capabilities for Azure Cognitive Search. These tools empower organizations to streamline workflows, unlock new opportunities, and drive business growth.

Ignite also placed a strong emphasis on responsible AI adoption, with insightful sessions on governance and sustainability. Yesterday, we hosted an exclusive breakfast event focused on Future-Ready Data Management with Microsoft Fabric. Attendees gained valuable insights into how this unified platform can transform data engineering, analytics, and AI-driven insights. 

Together with Microsoft, we shared strategies on maximizing the impact of Microsoft Fabric, from driving efficiency and cost savings to optimizing existing deployments. Additionally, attendees learned migration best practices, with real-world success stories offering practical guidance on a smooth transition to Microsoft Fabric.

Celebrating Community and Impact with Ekukhanyeni

At Mint, we were honoured to participate in the heartwarming year-end dinner in support of the Ekukhanyeni Relief Project, an initiative we proudly champion. This special evening was not only a celebration of the incredible progress made throughout 2024 but also an opportunity to honour the funders, partners, and supporters who make this vital work possible.

Our journey with Ekukhanyeni this year has been nothing short of inspiring. From Easter festivities to their Golf Day and Mandela Day events, every moment spent with the children and communities has brought joy, connection, and a shared commitment to creating brighter futures in the community we operate in. Mint teams visited the centres more than ever this year, ensuring maximum support and fun for the little ones—a highlight for us all!

The year-end dinner was a fitting close to a remarkable year, bringing together friends and partners to reflect on shared successes. While a few familiar faces were missed, the warmth and energy of the evening shone through, thanks to everyone who joined us. The celebration reminded us of the impact we can achieve together, especially in empowering our young children and future leaders as well as the women in our communities through Ekukhanyeni’s training programs.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful journey. As we look forward to 2025, we can’t wait for more Hands-On visits and to continue making a lasting difference together.
