It's been a busy August/September - the Murphy family vacation, my wedding and then James Murphy 's course at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business has taken it's toll on this newsletter.

  • ST Telemedia Global Data Centres break ground in Jakarta as the minister for Infocom pushes for more supportive policies in Indonesia
  • ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (India) pledge $3.2bn and Amazon Web Services (AWS) another $2bn into the market
  • NEXTDC raise another $367m for their international expansion

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) launch in Malaysia and their first self build is revealed (publicly)
  • AirTrunk expand JHB1 and MEL1 with their next respective phases kicking on towards 150MW and 185MW
  • Google plan to build in Fiji
  • Taiwan places a 5MW limit on Data Centres in the northern part of the island (including Taipei). Alex Moffatt MRICS says Sydney might also be low on power?
  • Singtel, PT. Indosat Tbk and SK Telecom all announce GPU-as-a-Service offerings in Singapore, Indonesia and Korea respectively.
